ACE application deadline extended to July 16

June 28, 2012

The Accomplished Clerical Excellence program is accepting applications through July 16 from those interested in enhancing clerical knowledge, skills and abilities.

ACE is available to clerical staff members who have at least one year of Purdue service and have been in their current position at least six months. Each year, a new class of participants begins its first semester together. Classes meet for two hours each week starting in September.

A two-year program, ACE focuses on interpersonal, organizational, supervisory and working relationships skills, as well as learning more about the University and creating contacts across campus. While there are some core curriculum components and traditions associated with the program, incorporating change to keep the curriculum on target is important.

Applications are posted at www.purdue.edu/hr/lod/careerplanning.html. To make the program available to the most potential participants, the deadline to apply has been extended from July 2 until July 16.

More information about ACE and other employee development programs is at the website, or is available by contacting Carrie Hanson at 49-47397 or carrie@purdue.edu.
