New online modules to help researchers manage financial disclosures
Two new modules are rolling out today for the online tool that helps Purdue researchers complete the required financial interest statements when submitting proposals to external sponsors.
The research-related significant financial interest disclosure (RRSFID) module will allow researchers who have disclosed financial interests related to proposals to manage them online. After filling in the details of their significant financial interests for each relevant company and organization, researchers will be able to update their disclosures annually using the module. They also will be able to report changes that occur while a proposal is pending or during the award period.
The RRSFID module will be accessible by clicking on the "My Disclosures" tab located at the top of the proposal-driven disclosure application, found at https://engineering.purdue.edu/VPR/PDD. The module also will be accessible directly from the proposal-associated financial interest statement page.
The post-award module allows administrative workers in Post-Award Services to verify that proposals are in award-ready status when necessary. If they are not, the system sends notifications -- and links to the applicable online forms -- to all researchers who have not completed the needed financial disclosures. It also updates the proposal status in real time once the required forms have been completed.
Purdue's online tool to assist researchers in completing required financial interest statements has been available for about a year.
