Watch for new ID and debit cards for 2012 benefits

December 19, 2011
All employees participating in a 2012 Purdue medical plan will receive a new identification (ID) card from Cigna. Employees who have changed to a different medical plan for 2012 should be sure to show their ID card when going for care in the new year so that their providers can file claims properly.

New participants in the Medco prescription benefit will receive a 2012 ID card. Other participants will continue to use the card that Medco issued to them previously.

PayFlex will send an FSA debit card to all 2012 standard health care FSA participants. Employees will receive the cards at their home addresses in a plain white envelope with an Omaha, Neb., return address.

In all cases, employees should receive their new cards in late December. Direct questions to 49-42222, hr@purdue.edu or your regional campus Human Resources office.
