Final PayFlex FSA sessions set for Thursday and Friday

November 9, 2011

PayFlex, Purdue's 2012 flexible spending account (FSA) administrator, will be on the West Lafayette campus Thursday and Friday (Nov. 10-11) for two final days of presentations during benefits open enrollment.

PayFlex will talk about quicker claims processing and other enhancements in store for 2012 FSA participants. One enhancement is a mobile app that allows participants to file claims and manage their FSA through their smartphones.

Currently and for 2012, the maximum contribution to a health care FSA is $6,000. New regulations for 2013 will cap pre-tax contributions to this program at $2,500. This information may be helpful for planning your FSA enrollment for 2012, when your limit will be much higher than in 2013.

Thursday sessions are in Stewart Center, Room 322. The one-hour sessions begin at 7 a.m., 9 a.m., noon and 1:30 p.m.

Friday sessions are in Stewart Center, Room 314. The one-hour sessions begin at 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Open enrollment ends at midnight on Nov. 24.
