National experts to speak at Purdue Conference for Pre-Tenure Women

The second Purdue Conference for Pre-Tenure Women scheduled for Sept. 22-23 will focus on supporting women's success in higher education.
  
Designed for postdoctoral and pre-tenure women from across all disciplines, the two-day event on the Purdue campus will feature national experts in higher education, along with informal discussions and networking with peers from around the country.
  
The conference is co-sponsored by the Office of the Provost, the Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence in Discovery Park and the Women's Resource Office.
  
The 2010 conference brought together 185 participants representing 30 different institutions from around the United States. Nationally recognized speakers discussed topics such as "Challenges for Women in the Academy," "Taking Control of Your Success," and "Your Plan to Tenure."
  
Online registration for the conference opens June 1. Early registration is $150 before Aug. 1. Limited fellowships will be available.
