Equal Access/Equal Opportunity briefings scheduled for supervisors

The Office of Institutional Equity will hold Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the ADA Amendments Act briefings for supervisors in May.

The sessions will be held at the following times and locations:

* May 5 -- 9-10:30 a.m. Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering, Room 1109.
* May 10 -- 10-11:30 a.m. Lawson Computer Science Building, Room B151.
* May 25 -- 9-10:30 a.m. Rawls Hall, Room 2058.

The Americans with Disabilities Act and the ADA Amendments Act briefing represents Phase II of the Equal Access/Equal Opportunity Briefing Initiative started at Purdue over three years ago.

Phase II focuses on the area of disabilities in order to communicate changes to the law brought about in 2009 that affect employers such as Purdue with increasing numbers of individuals with disabilities. Purdue seeks to ensure that all members of our community are treated equitably and respectfully.
