Purdue Postdoctoral Association dinner set for May 12

April 28, 2011

The Purdue Postdoctoral Association invites all at Purdue to share in its annual dinner at 5:30 p.m. May 12 in Purdue Memorial Union's West Faculty Lounge. Reservations are needed by Wednesday (May 4). The featured speaker will be J. Paul Robinson, SVM Professor of Cytomics, whose talk is titled "Will We Ever Get There?"

Robinson's appointment is in the School of Veterinary Medicine and Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering. In 2009, he climbed Mount Everest to raise funds for work related to fighting AIDS in Africa.

The dinner is considered a celebration of PPDA as a still young organization. Price is adults and teens, $17; children ages 3-12, $8.50; children under 3, free. Checks (made payable to Purdue University) are preferred; cash is also accepted. Mail or deliver payment to Sharyl Neibert (Office of Research Administration, Hovde Hall, Room 334) by Wednesday (May 4). Indicate in the check's memo line the names of attendees and "PPDA dinner."
