APSAC elects vice chair, members emeriti

The Administrative and Professional Staff Advisory Committee elected Bob Morman as 2011-12 vice chair during its meeting April 13.

The committee also elected four members emeriti and heard a report from Pam Aaltonen, chair of the Blue Ribbon Healthcare Committee and associate professor of nursing, on the committee's findings.

Morman, day shift general manager in Building Services, will take office on June 1. He succeeds Robin Shanks, manager of event sales and strategic planning for Hall of Music Productions, who will serve as chair for the coming year.

APSAC also elected four current members to serve as members emeriti in 2011-12: Marsha Freeland, academic affairs coordinator in the College of Engineering; Nick Howell, compensation specialist for Human Resources; Sally Luzader, science initiative manager in the Office of Engagement; and Mark Sobers, information technology manager in the Office of the Indiana State Chemist.

APSAC bylaws allow for the election of up to four emeritus members, who act as nonvoting resource members during a one-year commitment.
