Water system flush starting today
The Purdue University Waterworks will flush the potable water system starting this week (April 18) and continuing until completed. The process will take place from about 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
As a result of the flushing, the water may be discolored for a short period of time. However, this will not affect the water quality. To remove the discoloration of the water, simply open a faucet for a few moments until the water runs clear.
Be careful when driving on campus through or around spraying or standing water. Refrain from parking next to or across from any of the fire hydrants.
