University policy updates

Several policies were approved at the Dec. 15 meeting of the Executive Policy Review Group.

The following policies went into effect Jan. 1:

* Effort Reporting (II.5.1) -- Replaces the interim version that has been in effect since February.
* Grievance Policy for Administrative/Professional and Clerical/Service Staff Members (IV.8.1) -- Update to existing policy.
* Persona Non Grata (I.4.5) -- Replaces the interim version that has been in effect since July.
* Protection Against Reprisal for Good Faith Disclosures (Whistleblower Protection) (X.1.2) -- Replaces the interim version that has been in effect since July.
* Reduction in Workforce (IV.14.2) -- Update to existing policy.

In addition, as a result of the Board of Trustee’s resolution regarding the University’s non-discrimination policy statement, the following policies went into effect Dec. 22:

* Anti-Harassment, Interim (X.2.1) -- Supersedes Executive Memorandum No. C-33.
* Equal Opportunity, Equal Access and Affirmative Action, Interim (X.2.2) -- Supersedes Executive Memorandum No. D-1.
