CIE workshop to focus on common teaching mistakes

The Center for Instructional Excellence will highlight common mistakes teachers make in the classroom during a workshop on Jan. 19.
  
"The Top Ten Mistakes Teachers Make in the Classroom" will be held from 1:30-3 p.m. in Stewart Center, Room 322. Tom Turpin, professor of entomology, will lead the workshop.
  
Turpin will discuss the results of a survey conducted by CIE in fall 2010 in which 800 Purdue students shared what they regard as the biggest mistake instructors make in teaching. The discussion also will focus on how teachers can address these mistakes in their own classrooms.
