Scholarships available for adult nontraditional students at Purdue

January 7, 2011

Span Plan Adult Student Services is accepting scholarship applications for the 2011-12 academic year for adult nontraditional students.

The Purdue definition of an adult nontraditional student includes any undergraduate student meeting one of three criteria:

* Experienced a minimum three-year break between completing high school and attending higher education.
* Experienced an interruption of two or more years while pursuing higher education.
* Is married and/or a parent.

To review scholarship opportunities and to apply, go to https://sp.itap.purdue.edu/ssta/spgrants. Those interested may apply for as many scholarships as desired as long as they meet all eligibility requirements. Paper submissions will not be accepted.

Some users may receive a prompt to log into the site. Users are asked to try their career account and password first in order to log in. If access to the site is denied, users should try adding "onepurdue\" before their career account (example: onepurdue\careeraccount).

More information about eligibility, the application process, and Span Plan grants and scholarships is available in an FAQ available on the same site. Questions not found on the FAQ can be e-mailed to spanplan@purdue.edu.

Individuals who would like to schedule an appointment with a Span Plan counselor may call 49-41254.
