Reduced hours for campus facilities over winter break

Campus services and offices are scheduling reduced hours of operation during winter break at Purdue Memorial Union, Purdue University Libraries and the Recreational Sports Center.
Dec. 23-24 and Dec. 30-31 are University holidays, when nearly all operations will be closed.
Most campus libraries will be open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday of this week and Jan. 3-7. Most will be closed Dec. 23-Jan. 2 and Jan. 8-9. The primary exceptions are the Siegesmund Engineering Library; Veterinary Medical Library; Hicks Undergraduate Library; Hicks Repository; and Circulation Services, which will be open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 27-29. The Recreational Sports Center and Boilermaker Aquatic Center will use a reduced schedule through Jan. 8. The centers will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1. Standard hours will resume Sunday, Jan. 9. Both standard and winter break schedules are posted at www.purdue.edu/recsports/facilities/calendar_hours/index.php. During these weeks, most Rec Sports services will be moving to transitional locations on campus in preparation for full-scale work on the renovation and expansion project at the center. Purdue Memorial Union and Stewart Center will maintain nearly all standard building hours until closing at 5 p.m. Dec. 22. They will be closed Dec. 23-26. All will reopen on Monday, Dec. 27. Stewart Center will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 29 and reopen Jan. 3. The Union will close at 11 p.m. Dec. 29 and reopen Jan. 3. The Union Club Hotel will close at 3 p.m. Dec. 22 and remain closed until 6 a.m. on Dec. 27.
