Mortar Board seeking nominations for annual leadership conference

December 10, 2010

Mortar Board is asking for help in encouraging active and budding campus leaders to achieve their potential with a nomination to attend this year’s Mortar Board Leadership Conference.

The 2011 conference, to be held Jan. 29 in Stewart Center, will provide students with the opportunity to engage with Purdue leaders and enrich their own leadership skills by highlighting others' success stories.

The theme for this year's conference is "Making Today's Dream, Tomorrow's Reality." The conference will feature six breakout sessions with Purdue leaders and other speakers who will focus on all scopes of successful leadership.

Faculty and staff are asked to nominate current leaders, students who they think have potential to contribute leadership skills in the community, and students who may enjoy the opportunity to network with other students and professionals. Faculty and staff may nominate as many students as they would like.

The nomination form is available at https://web.ics.purdue.edu/~mortarbd/events/nomination/leadership.conference.php. Deadline is 5 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 14).
