Alcohol and drug document to be distributed to all employees

November 11, 2010

Faculty and staff will receive an e-mail Friday containing a link to a document with the University's comprehensive Alcohol- and Drug-Free Campus and Workplace Policy and related information.

Purdue is committed to providing students, faculty, staff and visitors a safe and healthy campus and workplace. The Alcohol and Drug-Free Campus and Workplace Policy was developed to provide employees with information about expectations, consequences, testing, forms of assistance and other topics.

The University recognizes the health risks associated with controlled substance use and alcohol misuse and is committed to supporting students and employees who seek treatment for these conditions. The University also recognizes that controlled substance use and alcohol misuse diminish workplace and campus safety and undermine the University’s ability to fulfill its mission of education, research, and service.
