Purdue United Way Campaign nearing goal
Purdue's 2010 United Way Campaign has reached 95.9 percent of its $735,000 goal, and it is not too late for faculty and staff to contribute.
Faculty and staff can make a gift by indicating an amount on a pledge card delivered by department team captains.
Pledge cards offer a variety of ways to make donations -- payroll deduction, one-time direct donation, or quarterly, monthly or one-time billing. All pledge cards are kept confidential.
Faculty and staff who have not received a pledge card can pick one up at the Dick and Sandy Dauch Alumni Center or print one from www.purdue.edu/unitedway/pledge_forms.html.
All pledge cards should be returned to department team captains or directly to Dauch Alumni Center by Wednesday (Nov. 10).
Purdue employees continue to lead the campaign with $607,770.61 in donations as of Nov. 5. Contributions from retirees, graduate students and special events make up the remainder. Each area has a goal based on past performance and number of employees.

"The Purdue community is very close to meeting its goal with $704,880 raised as of November 5, but other groups in our community are struggling," says Anne Washburn, director of Purdue's United Way Campaign. "We really need to continue giving beyond our goal to make sure United Way of Greater Lafayette meets its overall goal."
