Expert on active learning to present workshop, speak at induction

Purdue's Teaching Academy and Center for Instructional Excellence will present a workshop by Charles Bonwell, nationally known expert on active learning in the classroom, on Sept. 30.

The interactive workshop, "Making Active Learning a Reality," will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 131, Hall for Discovery and Learning Research. Bonwell will address effective, active learning educational strategies.

Bonwell will speak also at the 2010 Teaching Academy Induction Ceremony at 7 p.m. Sept. 29. All are welcome to attend this event, and no registration is required.
