Farmers market offering seasonal produce
June 10, 2010Vendors at the farmers market on the corner of Sheetz and Wood streets, just west of the Dick and Sandy Dauch Alumni Center, will offer more seasonal items today than they were able to last month.
Open from 3 to 6:30 p.m. today, the market will offer asparagus, beets, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber, kale, lettuce, peas, potatoes, radishes, raspberries, spinach, strawberries, turnips and zucchini.
Along with fresh fruits and vegetables, local growers and vendors will continue to offer jams, jellies, baked goods, cheeses and frozen meats.
The market, sponsored by Purdue Physical Facilities, will be held Thursdays through Oct. 28.
