Common Reading selection 'Kite Runner' available in campus libraries

June 3, 2010

Multiple copies of the 2010-11 Common Reading Program book selection "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini are now available in the Purdue Libraries.

The largest number of available copies is in Hicks Undergraduate Library and can be checked out for one week. All libraries have at least one copy of the book, but borrowing options vary.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to read the book this summer to participate in the year's programming and academic tie-ins. Incoming freshmen and transfer students will be receiving free copies of the book selection during the Summer Transition, Advising, and Registration (STAR) program beginning June 21.

Faculty and instructors who will use the book in conjunction with a course this fall may request a complimentary copy by contacting Connie Washburn in Student Access, Transition and Success Programs at washburn@purdue.edu.
