CDFS preschools accepting applications for 2010-11

June 3, 2010

The Department of Child Development and Family Studies operates two nationally accredited early childhood education programs located near Discovery Park. Both programs are accepting applications for the upcoming school year.

The Child Development Laboratory Preschool (CDL) has openings for children in its prekindergarten classes for the 2010-11 school year, beginning Aug. 23. Children must be 2 years old by Sept. 1 for the younger class (ages 2-3 1/2) or 3 1/2 years old by Sept. 1 for its older class (ages 3 1/2-5; must turn 5 after Sept. 1).

CDL is a half-day academic-year program with morning and afternoon sessions available four days a week. The program is open to Purdue-affiliated and non-Purdue families. For more information, call 494-2945.

The Ben and Maxine Miller Child Learning Center (MCLC) has a limited number of spaces available for children ages 2 to 4 years for this summer and for the 2010-11 school year. MCLC is a full-day year-round program. The program gives first priority for enrollment to Purdue-affiliated families, but also accepts applications from non-Purdue families. For more information, call 494-0240.

The CDFS early childhood programs accept applications for the waiting list year-round for children birth to 4 years old. For more information or to fill out the online application form, visit https://www.cfs.purdue.edu/CDFS/outreach/childrens_programs.html.
