Sigma Xi seminar to recognize award recipient

The Purdue chapter of Sigma Xi will hold a seminar March 9 to recognize Kevin Gurney,  assistant professor of earth and atmospheric sciences and agronomy, who was recently named as the 2010 recipient of the Sigma Xi Young Investigator Award.

Gurney, who is the first Purdue faculty member to receive the Sigma Xi award, will discuss "Chasing Carbon Through the Earth System … or How I Came to Care About Trains, Planes, Trees and Dirt" at 4:30 p.m. in Deans Auditorium (Room 241), Pfendler Hall. A reception will follow in Pfendler Gallery.
