Workshop to help producers make food products MarketReady

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Indiana food producers can learn from experts how to reach new markets and increase sales at MarketReady Producer Sales Training.

The March 2 workshop will be at the LaPorte County Purdue Extension Office, 2857 W. State Road 2, Suite A, in LaPorte. Sessions will provide information on marketing to restaurants, retailers, wholesale buyers and grocers. The workshop will also cover common business functions of food production as well as how to increase profits and meet quality requirements.

The workshop will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST. Registration is $75 per person and $25 for each additional person from the same farm, and must be submitted by Friday (Feb. 24).

MarketReady, developed by the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service, helps small farmers and ranchers meet market development challenges and seize opportunities as they seek to develop supplier relationships.
