Family caregiver fair to highlight local resources

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Family caregivers can receive information on caring for aging or disabled loved ones at an informational fair on May 12.

The sixth annual Family Caregiver Resource Fair, which is free and open to the public, is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Purdue Memorial Union South Ballroom. The event is coordinated by Purdue's WorkLife Programs.

More than 40 agencies and businesses will attend to provide information on the many services offered in the area. Some of the topics include health care, legal issues, financial planning, home health, nutrition, advocacy, transportation, caregiver health and respite issues. Family caregivers also can receive free mini-manicures, chair massages and hand massages.

Free parking will be available in the Wood Street Park Garage, located at the corner of Wood and Grant streets, one block from the event.
