Students can offer input on presidential search at forums
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue students will be able to offer their opinions about the qualities that they would like to see in the university's next president at two forums later this month.
The graduate student forum, hosted by Purdue Graduate Student Government, will be from 7-8 p.m. Oct. 26 at Loeb Playhouse in Stewart Center.
Purdue Student Government will host the undergraduate student forum from 7-8 p.m. Oct. 27, also at Loeb Playhouse.
Each of the forums will be streamed live online so that students at Purdue Calumet, Purdue North Central and Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne can participate. The link for the graduate student forum is mms://video1.itap.purdue.edu/GSPresSearchForum. The link for the undergraduate forum is mms://video1.itap.purdue.edu/UGPresSearchForum.
Several members of the presidential search committee will be at both events, in addition to student representative Brad Krites, PSG president in 2010-11, to solicit input, feedback and the opinions of students.
In conjunction with the forums, Krites has worked with the student government presidents at each Purdue campus to develop a student-specific survey that will give students an opportunity to provide feedback for the committee. That survey is expected to be released early this week.
