WBAA to present town forum broadcast on suicide prevention
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – WBAA Public Radio at Purdue University will host a town forum on suicide prevention awareness Sept. 8.
Sept. 4-10 is Suicide Prevention Week. In order to raise awareness about suicide prevention, WBAA will broadcast the panel discussion. The forum will be at 7 p.m. in Pao Hall’s Mallett Theatre. Panelists for the discussion include West Lafayette police officer Marcus Slifer; Heather Servaty-Seib, assistant professor of counseling and development; and Travis Dorsch, executive director of the Jay Cooperider Memorial 5K run.
The forum, which is structured to maximize audience participation, is free and open to the public. It will broadcast on WBAA AM 920 and online at https://www.wbaa.org. Listeners can ask questions and provide comments on Facebook, on Twitter (@WBAANews), or via email (news@wbaa.org).
