December 6, 2010

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - High school students and their parents can learn more about college financial aid during either of two upcoming presentations by Purdue's Division of Financial Aid and the Ivy Tech Community College Lafayette financial aid office.

The presentations will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, and on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the Ivy Tech Community College Auditorium, 3101 S. Creasy Lane, Lafayette. The Indiana Student Financial Aid Association is sponsoring the presentations. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. each evening with a short overview of financial aid basics, then students and parents will hear detailed information about the process of filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Parents and students also may attend College Goal Sunday on Feb. 20 at the Ivy Tech Community College auditorium. Starting at 2 p.m., financial aid counselors will be available to help families fill out the FAFSA and to answer any additional financial aid questions they might have. See http://www.collegegoalsunday.org/ for more information and a list of additional Indiana locations.
