Purdue's summer commencement Aug. 7
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University will confer about 1,371 degrees during a summer commencement ceremony scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Aug. 7 at the Elliott Hall of Music.
The university will award 520 undergraduate degrees, 13 professional degrees, 457 master's degrees and 381 doctoral degrees.
University President France A. Córdova will address graduates during the ceremony. Richard Sévère, an English major from Miami, Fla., who is completing his doctorate in philosophy, will provide the student response.
Commencement videos will be available. A DVD costs $30, and order forms are available at Stewart Center's Loeb Playhouse box office or by calling 765-494-3933. The deadline for ordering is two weeks after the commencement ceremony.
The ceremony will be aired live on Comcast Channel 5 and Boiler TV Channel 13. It also will be shown live via Webcast at mms://video.dis.purdue.edu/graduation
