Women in Engineering to host free open house for K-8 students
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University's Women in Engineering Program will host a spring open house Feb. 25 to showcase its Imagination, Innovation, Discovery and Design (I2D2) afterschool outreach program.
The program is free and open to students in grades K-8 and their families. It will be held in the Civil Engineering Building, Room 2118. Students and their families may come any time from 9 a.m. to noon to explore the open exhibits. Families can participate in a hands-on activity at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Participants will explore basic engineering concepts through hands-on activities under the guidance of engineering students.
No preregistration is required. Children must be under parental supervision during the event.
