MEP co-sponsoring economic outlook seminar

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University's Manufacturing Extension Partnership is one of the sponsors of a free economic outlook seminar for Indiana manufacturers on March 16.

The seminar is aimed at chief executives, chief financial officers, controllers, business owners and managers. Sponsors in addition to MEP are the Indiana Manufacturers Association and PNC Bank.

Robert Dye, PNC senior economist and senior vice president, will lead the seminar. He'll discuss what Indiana manufacturers can expect in 2011 and 2012. Topics will include the pace of recovery, the automotive outlook, jobs and unemployment, the housing market, interest rates, inflation and economic risk factors.

Dye directs PNC's U.S. macroeconomic model and contributes to PNC's analyses and forecasts of key economic and financial trends nationally and globally, including daily, weekly and monthly reports. He also does a regional economic analysis for areas within PNC's eastern market.

The seminar will be from 10 a.m. to noon at Meridian Hills Country Club in Indianapolis. Seating is limited. A light breakfast will be provided.
