Purdue Motorsports Association to host car display on Thursday
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Purdue Motorsports Association will feature a display of race cars and components from various racing series at an event called "Motorsports on the Mall" on Thursday (April 22).
The show, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Purdue Mall on campus, in conjunction with the annual Grand Prix weekend.
Displays expected include sprint and midget cars, a Subaru RS rally car, a Ghepardo prototype supercar, Thunder Roadster race cars, an Indy Racing League open-wheel car and a monster truck.
Attendees also can get an insight on motorsports at Purdue by interacting with members of the Purdue Motorsports Association and industry professionals.
The Purdue Motorsports Association is a student group focused on the motorsports industry. The organization consists of about 100 students.
