Eiteljorg Museum
The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art has the unique distinction of being a one-of-a-kind museum in the Midwest because of its extensive collection of Native American and Western art. The mission of the museum is to inspire an appreciation and understanding of the art, history, and cultures of the Indigenous Peoples of North America and the American West. It collects and preserves Native American and Western art and cultural objects of the highest quality, and serves the public through engaging exhibitions, educational programs, cultural exchanges and entertaining special events.

Eiteljorg Visiting Artist Program
The NAECC hosts Native American artists participating in the museum’s Artist in Residence Program, a month-long residency where they conduct cultural presentations and artwork demonstration centered on their specific talents. These artists visit Purdue for one-day, conduct presentations and meet with students, faculty and staff. All presentations are open to the entire Purdue and Lafayette community.
