M-STEM³ Motorsports STEM for Manufacturing and Medicine

Real races, real education

Purdue is partnering with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway - home of the Indianapolis 500 - for the M-STEM3 Go Kart Series. The three races held each May, are designed to engage students in STEM disciplines within the exciting world of racing. The racing competitions will require academic and hands-on skills - all set within the backdrop of the running of the Indianapolis 500. Please visit: evGrandPrix or more information, or MSTEM3 to register for the event.

In response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the MSTEM 500 planning committee facilitated by Purdue University would like to offer access to our keynote presentations as an asynchronous virtual participation option in lieu of the in-person 2021 MSTEM 500 program. Our keynote presentations are lead by industry professionals from Don Schumacher Racing group and include talks from award winning driver Antron Brown. In the keynote discussion videos below, our speakers discuss what inspired them to pursue their career in motorsports, what steps they took to get where they are today, and how STEM relates to their current position, in addition to so much more! We hope that you can find a way to share these presentations with your students in the coming months. In addition we are delighted to announce that we will be returning to the in-person programming hosted at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for our 2022 event on May 17 and 18. Please find more details and registration information below.
