The C Programming Learning Community is a non-residential Learning Community for students who will be placing out of the first required CS course, CS 180, due to their AP scores. This semester-long experience will allow you to learn and connect with other students who have been able to take second-semester CS coursework during their first semester, enabling you to provide support for one another. You will be encouraged to develop study groups, share your expertise, and get involved with other students both academically and socially. As a member of this LC, you will be enrolled in CS 18200, CS 24000, CS 19000 and CS 19100 during the fall semester to encourage a strong content foundation in CS and academic success in the first semester and beyond. You will also be led by your academic advisor to assist in connecting with your department to learn about the rich and varied opportunities that are available.

Please note: Applying for this or any other LC does not guarantee placement. You must receive a 5 on the Computer Science A AP exam in order to be placed in this LC. If you apply for and are conditionally placed in the C Programming LC pending your AP exam score verification, you are then not able to be placed in the Computer Science or Computer Science-Bridge LCs.
