The Global Explorers Learning Community, created especially for first-year students in Exploratory Studies, offers a course and out-of-class activities that will help you in your quest to find the right major at Purdue, while also developing your intercultural competency!

The Academic and Career Planning course taught by Exploratory Studies academic advisors is designed to help you learn about yourself, majors, and careers.  Out-of-class activities will focus on developing your knowledge and awareness of diverse cultures.

As students learn more about themselves, they will also learn more about other cultures and participate in events and activities hosted by the various cultural centers on campus such as the Asian American and Asian Resource and Cultural Center, Black Cultural Center, Latino Cultural Center, LGBTQ Center, and Native American Educational and Cultural Center.

This Learning Community is open to both domestic and international students, with hopes for a make-up of 50% domestic students and 50% international students, for a true cross-cultural experience.  You will have the chance to build strong friendships with students from various cultural backgrounds while learning more about yourself and how your culture possibly affects your major and/or career decisions.  Come explore yourself and your world with Global Explorers!
