Meet the Staff

Aurelio Curbelo

Dr. Curbelo is the new director since July 2014.  Dr. Curbelo received his doctoral degree from the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Iowa State University.  In addition, his education includes an Associate Degree in Tropical Crop Production from the University of Puerto Rico, a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Education and Studies with a minor in Horticulture, and a Masters Degree from Iowa State University. His international experiences as a graduate student inspired him to research the international perspectives, leadership, programs, and agreements in Central American universities. Therefore, Dr. Curbelo continues being an example of academic excellence, a great Latin American leader, and a dedicated individual in higher education.  In the future, Dr. Curbelo wants to continue inspiring people to become global citizens with an array of professional experiences, cultural knowledge, and leadership skills. 

Marisol Uribe

Program Coordinator, began with the LCC in July 2007 as Business Operations Specialist and became the Program Coordinator in August 2013. She is an alumna of Purdue University, received a bachelors of arts degree in Sociology. Uribe works with all major LCC programs.

Jessica Maurice

Maria Victoria Iglesias

Graduate Assistant, began her position with the LCC in June 2013. Iglesias received a bachelor's of arts from Indiana University, and is currently working on her Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering. Iglesias works with the LCC's Mentor Program and Embajadores.

Are also considered LCC staff. They contribute their talents, service, and dedication to the mission of the LCC.
