Meet the Staff
Maricela Alvarado
Is the Latino Cultural Center's inaugural director. Alvarado started her position at Purdue University in March 2004. She received a master of education degree at the University of Florida and two bachelor of arts degrees in English and Spanish at Washington State University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Education.
Marisol Uribe
Business Operations Specialist, began her position with the LCC in July 2007. She is working on attaining her degree in Sociology and Spanish. Uribe coordinates activities that relate to the LCC building functions.
Omar Diaz
Program Coordinator, an alumnus of Purdue University, received a bachelors of science degree in Interdiscipinary Sciences-Physics with a supporting area of Educational Psychology. Diaz joined the LCC in October 2010 to pursue a career in Student Affairs in higher education.
Embajadores
Are also considered LCC staff. They contribute their talents, service, and dedication to the mission of the LCC.
