Día de los Muertos                     

Rooted in indigenous beliefs, the Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) holds both a historical richness and a pertinent cultural significance. Each fall semester, the LCC holds a community celebration to commemorate the Día de los Muertos. Many times misconceived as a celebration of death, the Día de los Muertos serves more as a vibrant and colorful celebration of life.

Some of the Día de los Muertos/Day of the Dead activities include:

• Mexican food and pan de muerto
• Arts and craft stations
• Traditional and contemporary altar displays
• Latino music and a festive environment
