Dennis J. and Mary Lou Schwartz Tennis Center

The Dennis J. and Mary Lou Schwartz Tennis Center will be another Purdue Athletics asset that the entire community can enjoy. Located near the intersection of McCormick Road and Cherry Lane, south of the existing Purdue soccer fields, the entire Lafayette-West Lafayette community will benefit from the new Tennis Center.

Currently, Purdue is the only Big Ten institution without an indoor tennis facility. Erasing this deficiency will also be a major boost to Purdue’s varsity tennis teams. Further, by housing at least six indoor courts, spectator seating, locker rooms and new outdoor courts, the Center is destined to quickly become one of the most utilized recreational facilities on campus.

The Dennis J. and Mary Lou Schwartz Tennis Center will also foster cross- campus collaboration. In addition to students, faculty and staff enjoying an on-campus indoor facility, the Health and Kinesiology Department will, for the first time, have an indoor facility as a resource for classes and teaching.
