The Women’s Resource Office Launches New

Networking-Mentoring Program

The Women’s Resource Office presents a new program, the Purdue Women’s Network (PWN).  This program pairs peer mentoring with networking to improve the quality of life for women graduate students on the Purdue University campus. This new program is designed to meet the needs of female graduate students through programming committed to enhancing the Purdue University experience.  PWN provides a unique system of peer mentoring for graduate women by building a network of support with participants in all academic disciplines and stages of life guiding each other through the challenges of graduate school.

The PWN events are generally held monthly, including an annual fall kick-off event to introduce new participants and begin or renew networks within the current participant base.  Graduate students will also provide feedback and ideas for speaker topics, allowing all participants to have some leadership over the content of the program. 

Programming for PWN consists of speaker luncheons, and practical workshops as well as informal networking opportunities.
