Endowed Professorship in Cancer Therapeutics (001977-2008)

The Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Purdue Cancer Center invite applications to fill an endowed chair in Cancer Therapeutics. 

Responsibilities:  We seek an established scientist with a distinguished record of accomplishment who is qualified for appointment at the rank of professor.  Candidates whose research focuses on targeted delivery of therapies and/or the applications of nanotechnology for the treatment of cancer are of particular interest.

Qualifications:  PhD in an area related to Medicinal Chemistry.  Expected to maintain a strong extramurally-funded research program and provide leadership in the area of Cancer Therapeutics.  Commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.

Dane O. Kildsig Chair in Industrial and Physical Pharmacy (001962-2007)

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the College of Engineering at Purdue University are seeking applications for the Kildsig Chair in Industrial and Physical Pharmacy.  The Kildsig professor will hold at 75% appointment in Industrial and Physical Pharmacy and a 25% appointment in Engineering.

Responsibilities:  The selected individual will be expected to develop and sustain an extramurally funded research program, as well as to contribute to professional and graduate education.  Participation in the Dane O. Kildsig Center for Pharmaceutical Processing Research and the newly funded NSF Engineering Research Center for Structured Organic Particulate Systems will be expected.  The Kildsig Chair will also assist in the further development of the new interdisciplinary Pharmaceutical Technology and Education Center at Purdue University and its associated Pharmaceutical Engineering educational program.  Candidates should have expertise in fundamental and applied research related to the development, design and manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.

Professor of Pharmacy Practice (001958-2007)

The Department of Pharmacy Practice, Purdue University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, in conjunction with Regenstrief Institute Inc., Indiana University Center for Health Services and Outcomes Research, and the Veteran’s Administration Health Services Research and Development Center on Implementing Evidence-based Practice, is recruiting a tenure-track faculty member with research expertise in implementation science, pharmacoecomonics, pharmacoepidemiology, health informatics, and/or patient safety.

Responsibilities:  The successful candidate will contribute to the learning, engagement, and discovery initiatives of the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Indiana University Center for Health Services and Outcomes Research, Regenstrief Institute, and the VA Health Services Research and Development Center on Implementing Evidence-based Practice.  The major emphasis of the position will be interdisciplinary collaboration in discovery, implementation, and system redesign.

Kathrine Birck Chair of Nursing (001939-2007)

Purdue University School of Nursing invites nominees and applications for an endowed professorship with an emphasis on the health of women and children.  The Katherine Birck Chair in Nursing designates a distinguished nurse scholar who has made significant accomplishments in women and child health nursing as reflected in a sustained body of work, publications in high- quality, peer-reviewed research journals, and demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring.

Requirements:  The holder of the Chair should have a national reputation as a leader in nursing who has influenced the field.  Established funding track record and program of research as appropriate for a full professor at a Research One university is expected.  This individual will mentor junior faculty and graduate students in scholarly activities; advancing not only the mission and reputation of the School of Nursing but also Purdue University.

The Department of Pharmacy practice, Purdue University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, is recruiting a 12-month tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Associate/Full Professor, with a focus in medication event identification and prevention.  The faculty member will serve as a researcher, educator, and facilitator for the Purdue University medication Safety Initiative, a program focused on the identification and reduction of medication-related errors in the healthcare setting with an emphasis on community pharmacy practice.

Chemical Biology/Drug Discovery (Posting #001700-2006)

The Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Purdue University (www.mcmp.purdue.edu) invites applicants for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level.  Candidates who apply modern synthetic organic techniques to the development of modulators for biological/pharmaceutical targets are of particular interest.

The Department of Pharmacy Practice at Purdue University seeks to fill a tenure-track endowed chair position with an established mid-career scientist.  This position will be located in the Department of Pharmacy Practice on the combined campus of Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis (IUPUI), which is also the location of the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Requirements:  The successful candidate is expected to sustain a nationally recognized program of discovery and scholarship.  Candidates with an accomplished research record in any area will be considered, but preference will be given to candidates with an accomplished research record in pharmacogenomics, oncology, cardiology, or obstetrics.  The successful candidate will be expected to provide effective instruction and mentorship to PharmD students, graduate students and/or post-doctoral fellows, and will be expected to participate in national and international outreach activities.
