What actions should I take when notified that my OnePurdue Portal password has expired or is about to expire?
If your OnePurdue Portal / application password has expired due to the 30 day password restriction, you could encounter either of the following screens: (conditions for each warning / error message are listed).
- Your OnePurdue Portal password has completely expired:
(Please confirm that you are using the correct User ID and Password)
(Please confirm that you are at the appropriate portal: Prod, Training, Dev, QA)

- Your OnePurdue Portal password has expired, but you have logged in under a grace login.
If you are supported by the HR/F Zone and encounter either of the above described warnings / errors, please use the following steps to immediately change your OnePurdue Portal password.
If you are supported by the HR/F Zone, please do not visit the Secure Purdue website or use any of the password change links within the OnePurdue Portal to change your password due to possible Exchange authentication issues that may occur.
HR/F Zone supported personnel are encouraged to change their OnePurdue Portal passwords via the following method:
- When prompted to change your password, within the OnePurdue Portal, please immediately log out of the portal.
- Use the directions at the following HR/F Zone link to change your password from an HR/F Zone supported workstation: http://www.purdue.edu/hrfzone/FAQs/ChngCareerPass.html
- Log back in to the OnePurdue Portal.
Use of the above steps will prevent the Microsoft Outlook email client from requesting additional authentication after your OnePurdue Portal / application password is changed.
