How do I clean my LCD monitor?

  • Please do not touch your LCD screen or attach anything to it

Please do not attach post-it notes to your screen

  • Keep your LCD screen free of all objects

The screen on your LCD monitor should not be touched by hands, pens, pencils, or any other type of object.  The LCD screen should not have anything taped or stuck on it.  The screen is the most important, yet the weakest part of the LCD monitor.  Touching or attaching items to the screen can result in damage to the screen itself.

  • Only use cleaners that specifically say they are for use with a LCD monitor

There are wipes and cleaners on the market that are specifically made for cleaning LCD monitors.

  • Please do not block the top of your monitor

The top of your LCD monitor is where the monitor ventilates.  It is important that nothing is placed on the top of the monitor so the air can circulate properly.

  • Place the LCD monitor on a surface that is flat and stable

It is important to place your LCD monitor on a stable surface so it cannot fall.  If your LCD monitor falls, it can cause serious damage to the screen.  If placing the monitor directly on your desk makes your screen too low of if you feel your monitor needs to be moved, please contact the Zone.
