Understanding your benefit options and making decisions about next year’s coverage is no easy chore, but you‘re up to the task – especially with a little help. Take advantage of these resources to make it successfully through this year’s benefits open enrollment.

  • Your benefits open enrollment guide: The guide was mailed Oct. 28, at the beginning of the open enrollment period.
  • Open enrollment Web page: Your central location for enrollment information, links and news.
  • Daily opportunities to attend a walk-in lab or a presentation: Offerings are listed in the enrollment guide, on the Benefits website and in “Today’s Enrollment Events” in Purdue Today.
  • Recorded presentations: Watch and learn when it’s most convenient for you.
  • The Truven Informed Enrollment tool: Truven uses your claims history from April 2012 through March 2013 to estimate your total cost under each 2014 medical option. Estimates include premiums, deductibles and coinsurance. Access Truven Informed Enrollment through the EBenefits system.
  • EBenefits online benefits system: Your gateway to the Truven Informed Enrollment tool, links to vendor websites and the all-important enrollment process. Go to the Purdue Employee Portal, click the EBenefits link at the top of the page and then sign in using your Purdue career account username and password.
  • The Interactive HSA Guide: This online tool helps you understand IRS rules about who is eligible for a health savings account (HSA) and who is not.
  • The Human Resources Service Center: Contact the center at 765-494-2222, hr@purdue.edu or www.purdue.edu/HRHelp.
