FLSA changes likely coming soon

There are major changes expected to the overtime rules under the Fair Labor Standards
Act (FLSA) in 2016. The FLSA is a federal law that Purdue must follow. The Department of Labor (DOL) has proposed changes that would raise the minimum salary for an employee to be designated as exempt. If you are currently exempt (excluded from overtime requirements), you may potentially be affected by these changes.

We expect that the Department of Labor (DOL) may publish final regulations between May and July 2016; from there, we anticipate having 60 days to implement the necessary changes and comply with the new regulations.
