Earn a purple apple through INShape Indiana
The INShape Indiana walking program, “Ready, Set, Walk!”, offers yet another option for earning a purple apple as part of Healthy Purdue. The 12-week walking program began April 14; pedometers have already been distributed to participants.
If you’d like to use your participation to earn a purple apple through the community alternative option, here’s how.
- Get the community alternative form from your campus wellness program.
- Fill out the 12-week walking log to track your participation (log will be provided by INShape Indiana).
- Turn in your community alternative form, your walking log, and the e-mail you receive from INShape Indiana upon completing the program to your campus wellness program by 5 p.m. on July 31.
If you’re currently enrolled in an existing walking or activity course at Purdue, you would not be able to "double up" and get credit for a purple apple for both the Purdue program and the INShape walking program.
Each campus will be collaborating with INShape Indiana. For more information about using "Ready, Set, Walk!" for a purple apple, contact your campus wellness program:
