EAP announces anger management workshop series Beginning this fall, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will conduct a workshop series addressing the many aspects of anger and how it affects relationships both at home and in the workplace. The workshops will focus on the physiological ramifications and the interpersonal, cognitive, and emotional costs to the individual. It will provide participants with effective tools and coping skills. As a supervisor, you have the opportunity to observe signs of displaced anger in the workplace. If you have an employee who you feel would benefit from this series, contact me, Debbie Clayton, to discuss the employee's employment history and referral information. Then make the employee aware of the workshop series and have the employee contact me at 49-47707 if he or she is interested in attending the series. I will talk with prospective participants by phone or in person to discuss specific dates and times and to complete an initial assessment. These assessments are necessary to determine if the prospective participant would be an appropriate candidate for this series. Space is limited, so early registration is strongly encouraged. Workshops will take place at the EAP office located at 501 Hayes Street, West Lafayette. We assure the participant's confidentiality. - Debbie
