Lateral transfers = no pay increase
Per a memo sent by Al Diaz on April 30, 2013, employees transferring into a lateral position will not be eligible for a pay increase. A transfer to a position with comparable duties, level of responsibility and/or job scope is defined as a lateral transfer.
This serves as a reminder to supervisors to contact your Compensation Specialist in Human Resources prior to extending an offer to an internal candidate for the open position. We need to ensure that we are not extending offers with salary increases to internal candidates for a lateral position.-Compensation
