It’s 2006 and Human Resource Services is ready to kick
off the Purdue Health Improvement Initiative, Healthy Purdue. The initiative
includes expanded health resources and financial incentives for
benefit-eligible faculty, staff, and their spouses and same-sex domestic
partners. Those who complete a
Wellness Screening and a Health Risk Assessment before March 31, 2006, will
receive $100!
How can your staff get involved right now?
Registration is now open for School of Nursing Wellness Screenings. Visit
www.purdue.edu/worklife or call
49-46341 for screening dates and times. Staff may also complete a Wellness
Screening with their health care provider. In addition, Wellness Screenings
completed since September 1, 2005, may be counted toward the incentive.
Beginning in early February, an outside vendor will provide additional
opportunities for on-campus Wellness Screenings. Dates and times will be
available at the end of the month.
The Health Risk Assessment, provided by an outside vendor, will be available
starting in February and ending March 31. The Health Risk Assessment can be
done online from any computer with internet access, or individuals may
request to receive a paper version.
Do your staff members have questions about Healthy Purdue?
Step-by-step instructions on how to qualify for the $100 incentive will be
mailed to employee homes at the end of the January. The initiative's new Web site,
www.purdue.edu/healthypurdue, will also be launched at that time.
In the meantime, information about Healthy Purdue is available at
