HR Regulatory or Annual Reporting
|Workforce||This is really a frozen data file that is built each fall. It provides the basis for many of the Human Resource internal and mandated reports listed below. The Workforce file is also used for longitudinal data studies.|
|Data Digest||The annual Data Digest collects information from all corners of Purdue University and provides a single source of information on key metrics of the University. The reports within the Faculty and Staff tab of the Data Digest are prepared by the department of Human Resources using the Workforce file.|
|IPEDS||The reports for the Human Resources component of the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) survey are based on the Workforce file, prepared by Human Resources, and submitted by the Office of Institutional Research.
The completion of all IPEDS surveys, in a timely and accurate manner, is mandatory for all institutions that participate or are applicants for participation in any Federal financial assistance program authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended. The completion of the surveys is mandated by 20 USC 1094, Section 487(a)(17).
|AAUP||Purdue University chooses to participate in the annual Faculty Compensation survey of American Association of University Professors (AAUP). Human Resources prepares a series of reports which are submitted to AAUP by the Office of Institutional Research.|
|Indiana State Salary Report||Indiana Code 5-11-13-1 mandates that each January, a Personnel Report must be prepared and sent to the Office of the State Examiner of the State Board of Accounts. This report includes the names, compensation, and responsibilities of all officers and employees.|
|Indiana State New Hire Report||Indiana Code 22-4 1-4-2, and the Federal Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA) specifies that all Indiana employers are required to report all newly hired employees to the "New Hire Center" within 20 days of the hire date.|
|Indiana Department of Workforce Development||This report is completed on a monthly basis to provide employment data to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development and the Federal Department of Labor (DOL) via a cooperative agreement. This data is used to compile and publish the Current Employment Statistics reported by the DOL.|
|Affirmative Action Plan||The Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) is responsible for formulating the Affirmative Action Plan for Purdue University. OIE uses the Workforce file as the basis of their reporting. Human Resources works closely with the Office of Institutional Equity in the development of each fall's Workforce file to ensure that complete and accurate data is captured in the file.|
