PUBLIC RELATIONS

  • Design and produce promotional materials including brochures, newsletters, and flyers.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of press, media, and community communication mediums; write, produce, and distribute press kits, feature stories, calendar listings, public service announcements and other items for all sponsored events.
  • Conduct media relations efforts; establish and maintain contacts with key media personnel; develop and implement press conferences, photo sessions, and press/media events.

RESEARCH

  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct scientific research requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard scientific techniques.
  • Demonstrate and apply thorough understanding of scientific methods, research protocols, assessment instruments, and data interpretation.
  • Design, perform, and/or oversee experiments and data collection to ensure data integrity, quality control, and protocol compliance.

STUDENT SERVICES

  •  Plan and implement life and study skill workshops and special orientation sessions to enhance student’s university experience.
  • Analyze trends in student recruitment and retention programs; design and implement recruitment programs for targeted groups of potential students and develop strategies for program evaluation.
  • Prepare reports/proposals and respond to inquiries from students and external agencies.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

  •  Manage and maintain enterprise level and/or large scale computer systems and tools.
  • Find and fix issues within systems and implement, monitor, and build tools that automate repetitive tasks to minimize errors and prevent downtime.
  • Diagnose a wide range of data problems; ‎design, code, test, debug, install, document and maintain complex programs.  
  • Partner with researchers to understand what value and insights are possible from their data, and visually present results.

OFFICE SUPPORT

  • Provide administrative support for the department by providing reception services, scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel, filing, researching files and records, and preparing and proofreading correspondence, reports, and other documents as requested.
  •  Assist students by determining who can best provide information needed by the student, providing basic and initial assistance to students with questions about classes, registration, permissions, etc. using established guidelines (information in course catalogs, departmental and college documents, and established policies and procedures).
  • Support the work of the department by purchasing equipment and supplies, maintain an inventory of office supplies, and utilize the appropriate process to pay for goods or services purchased by the department.
