Tobacco Cessation

Have you recently stopped using tobacco or are you thinking about quitting? Attend this class to learn tips and techniques to prepare to break the habit or continue your new tobacco free lifestyle. Special focus will be placed on behavior change, overcoming withdrawal/cravings, coping with stress, managing weight, preventing relapses and more.

Dishing it Up Diabetes Style!

You can enjoy tasty, healthy meals at home when you have diabetes by making a few changes to the way you choose and prepare food. Within this workshop led by Ellen Welch RD, each class will offer a cooking demonstration and provide samples of delicious, diabetic-friendly dishes, along with the recipe to use at home.

Workplace Fitness 

Why should you be active? No matter what your size or shape, being active can have a major and positive effect on your weight, sleep habits, stress levels and overall well-being. This discussion will review the benefits of regular physical activity as well as ways to incorporate fitness into your work day.

Stress and Work/Life Balance

Does your life feel out of balance? Are you being pulled in too many directions and the stress is starting to build? Come learn to recognize the sources of stress, how our body and mind react to stress, and strategies for balancing our work and home life demands. The discussion will also include resources on the pathophysiology of laughter, coping mechanisms, and relaxation techniques.

Intro to Yoga

What does stress do to us? We all experience stress to some degree, but how we cope with it is our decision. Come learn about the benefits of yoga, the different types of yoga offered, as well as some basic poses you can do at home.
